Personal Computer Training

Computer Concepts has been committed to customer training since the company’s 2004 startup in Williamsburg. At that time, our computer techs huddled with customers to help them make the best computer decisions.

With over twenty-years of technical and training experience, Dick Smith signed on as Computer Concepts Training Director and Lead Trainer in 2010.

Covid-19 has forced class size from eight students to One-On-One training sessions. Our training handouts are full of graphics and easy to follow. Students are welcome to keep their training materials for later reference.

Training topics include Apple macOS computers as well as Apple iOS iPads, iPhones and other Apple apps. Photo editing, Windows 10 and the latest Microsoft Office courses are also popular.

Computer Concepts’ students vary from home-schooled teens, adults seeking new job skills, adults with disabilities and senior adults who always want to know more. Training methods are adapted to fit student needs.

Students are instructed in One-On-One sessions in a classroom environment in each of our stores. Remote Training is also available. A custom training course can be created to fit your groups’ requirements.

Dick Smith has instructed at Newport News Shipbuilding, TNCC Adult Education, Norfolk Naval Base, The College of William & Mary and several thousand classes and one-to-one sessions at Computer Concepts.

Computer Concepts currently offers One-On-One in-store training sessions, remote sessions using Zoom and on-site group computer training services.
