Computer Concepts was founded in 2003 offering custom built computers to home users. Very quickly it became clear that people wanted more than just a new computer. Our customers were asking for help with problems and wanted someone to teach them how to use the rapidly changing technology that existed at their fingertips.

With 15 years of experience and now with two store locations in Williamsburg and Yorktown, Computer Concepts now offers more than just custom-built computers. Our stores are fully outfitted with state-of-the-art repair facilities capable of supporting the highest level of repairs on laptops and desktop PCs as well as all things Apple. Computer Concepts is a Locally Owned Apple Authorized Sales and Service Provider in the area. We carry a full line-up of Apple products from Mac computers to iOS devices, Apple TV, parts and Apple accessories.

Lenovo Laptops & Custom Desktops
Our retail stores carry a full line of new computers including the latest Lenovo Laptops. Computer Concepts custom built desktop computers carry a three-year limited hardware warranty. We carry parts to repair and upgrade your computer.

Computer Training Classes
Computer Concepts has a training room in each store where our instructors teach over 40 technology classes. Class topics range from basic to advanced instruction for using a Windows PC computer or an Apple iPhone, iPad and Mac computer. Classes are not expensive at Computer Concepts. A 90-minute class is just $25.00.

Hank Healy

Senior Owner

Hank recognized that computers were the thing of the future and started his computer career by taking every computer class available in college. He continued to work with computers while a communications officer for over twenty in the US Army. He then spent over twenty years as a government contractor as a computer system architect. He assisted in designing many of the military command and control systems. Hank has been the Major owner of Computer Concepts since 2004.

Alan Healy

Manager
Yorktown

Alan started his computer career as a young teenager when he sat with his father and assisted him in building his own computer. Alan continued to be interested in computers and wanted to learn as much possible about computers. Alan graduated from a Tech school in computer repair. He has been with Computer Concepts since its start. Alan is a fully certified Apple and Windows Technician. He is Computer Concepts’ Lead Technician and Manager of the Yorktown Store.

Jeremy Rosa

Manager

With an extensive background in business development and customer service combined with, a strong technical background and a passion for building and repairing computers, Jeremy became a co-owner of Computer Concepts in 2012. Since then, he has earned his Apple and Windows software and hardware certifications.

Ryan Craig

While attending the College of William and Mary Ryan was able to develop skills by repairing game consoles for his peers. Ryan graduated from the College of William and Mary with a political science degree. However he found that his passions was leading him towards the technology field. He started with Computer Concepts as a part time tech and broadened his technical knowledge base. Ryan is now the general manager of the Williamsburg location. Ryan is an Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified Mac Technician, and Apple Certified iOS Technician.

Arlando Healy-Barlow

Computer Technician Yorktown

Arlando started playing with a computer in the Second Grade and his interest and ability continued to increase every year. In Middle School he was introduced to gaming. As he continued to grow as a gamer, his curiosity about what components make up a computer and what could be done to them to improve the gaming experience. After graduating from Woodside High School, Arlando decided to pursue his desire to learn more about what makes computers go. Arlando joined Computer Concepts in 2019 as a Technican intern. His goal is to get both his PC and Apple Certifications.

Brent Tesh

Apple Computer Technician

Brent started taking things apart when he was 6 years old, starting with his parent’s vacuum cleaner. When he was 12 his parents got their first computer, he was hooked. Fast forward 3 years and he had built his first computer out of old parts. Today Brent is a Senior Service Technician with Computer Concepts. Brent is a Certified PC Technician. He is also a Certified Apple Technician.

Dick Smith

Training Director

Dick has been in computer training since the 1990s. He has been the Training Director and lead instructor for Computer Concepts since 2010. Dick Smith presents both Apple and Windows classes. With over twenty years of training and technical experience, Dick has presented classes for not only new users and advanced users; but also businesses and organizations. Dick instructs over 200 classes and personal one-on-one training sessions a year.

Keith Barlow

Computer Technician Yorktown

Keith's interest in computers began early in grade school and his interest and skills have continued to grow. In Middle School, Keith became a competent computer gamer. As his gaming ability expanded, his interest in how a computer was able to support the gaming process also grew. During this time, Keith's curiosity about how computer components supported gaming and what could be done to these components to improve his overall gaming experience became more important to him. After graduating from Woodside High School, he decided to pursue his desire to learn more about what makes computers go. Keith joined Computer Concepts in 2019 as a Technician intern where his lofty goal is to earn both his PC and his Apple Certifications.
